Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award (2)

A few days back, I was nominated for Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award by the amazing Debby from DebbySEO. I’m deeply touched & humbled by her kind gesture. This is my second nomination for the same award this year.

For those of you, who aren’t aware of DebbySEO, please do check her blog to find the helpful tips & tricks & to know about what kind of services she offers (Search Engine Optimization is one of them). Debby is a very kind hearted & down to earth being. She would go an extra mile to help you. I happen to use her services when I decided to migrate my site/blog to another host. I couldn’t have done without her amazing help, especially when I was losing patience from time to time due to some issues, that WP couldn’t resolve. She kept her cool, calmed myself down, by assuring me that she would make my site to work, which she did. Today, Debby is more than a service provider to me & I feel very blessed knowing her.

Rules (/Guidelines):

  • Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog.
  • Make a post of the award (with a photo of the logo).
  • Post the rules (/guideline).
  • Ask 5-10 questions of your choice.
  • Nominate 10-30 other bloggers (or more) and notify them.
  • Follow Vincent Ehindero (to qualify for a free blog promotion and shoutout) and more blogging opportunities.

Questions from DebbySEO:

  1. Have you been wanting to install plugins, but you think $25/mo for the WordPress package is too much? Have you considered migration to a Self-Hosted WordPress blog?
I very much wanted to install plugins & some specific themes, but I couldn’t, even though I subscribed to the premium plan. Therefore, I decided to migrate my WP.com to a self hosted WP blog as I didn’t want to pay a hefty $25/month fee.
  2. Have you ever paid for SEO services, software or plugins? Which are your favorites?
SEO services & themes are my favorites. I’ve paid for the genuine SEO services (/organic growth). I’m not interested in fake followers & fake traffic.
  3. Have you ever read a book that changed your life? Which ones and how did it affect you?
I bought an audio book called Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. It’s a very powerful book, teaching the value of the only moment that exists…Now. It teaches me to live in the present…than to think of what happened in the past & what’s coming in the future. Sometimes, we miss the very moment when we live in the past or speculate about future.
  4. If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
I really don’t know. I believe in mysteries, magic & the unknown.
  5. How many friends do you have on Facebook and how many actually mean something to you?
FB number is always higher than the real number. It includes the ones, you’ve known once but you still want to be in touch (don’t ask me why). But if we talk in percentage, around 50% of them actually mean something to me.
  6. If you could ask advice from any historical figure, who would it be, and what would you ask them?
If historical figure means a politician, then it would be a waste of time. I would still not ask a question to anyone as I know, one needs to find the answers oneself. Hmm…I sound serious…
  7. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
From writing a poem to reading / commenting on WP to listening to music to watching some TV to sitting quietly & doing nothing. I make sure I get that 30 min a day….no matter whether it’s in the middle of the day or too late at night….it’s “me” time.

My nominees:

Anonymously Hal
Spirited Soul
Short Prose
alwayswithlovecat
erroneouschoices
Maple Leaves
Era
Rinum’s Blog
Anyone else who reads this post and wants to participate!

My questions for you:

  1. Do you believe things happen for a reason? Or are they simply coincidences?
  2. Is there a book that changed your life? And if so, how?
  3. Do you practice (or believe in) meditation & mindfulness or is it some hocus-pocus-bogus?
  4. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
  5. If you could go back into any period of time, what would it be?
  6. Is pain a different kind of teacher or is it simply there to pain you, to activate the pain body?
  7. Who’s your favorite singer/band?

    1. When I migrated my site from WP.com to another host, WP didn’t migrate my followers properly. No one was receiving any notifications. Their happiness engineers couldn’t resolve this issue. So I had to remove all my followers & invite them to re-follow manually one by one. That’s y all this trouble.
      Thanks a lot for re-following me 😊

      1. Not necessarily….jetpack makes it plug the domain & site hosted elsewhere (WP.org based) to WP.com. Things should work. However there’s a chance there would be some glitches. But with time, it should work smoothly unless the happiness engineers try to “resolve” the issue by useless solutions 😂😉
