Mindless Brain - navinspoetry

Naked & Rough Skin

The drops in veins
Are the thoughts insane
The talk in vain
The drops in veins
Are the thoughts insane
The talk in vain
Is to prompt the phase
The song I sang
I drop the face
The sign that rays
The darkest day
It’s time to race
And write the date
To account the rate
Of the countless deaths….

  2. I wrote this comment first on Masticadores:) Congratulations Navin for being published here (Masticadores) on this prestigious site. Your poem is like a freight train express, that instead of stopping picks up momentum in your mindless brain locomotive. Its a wonderful poem to read out loud and I especially like this line» The doubts are bad
    Are like dots embedded
    On a darker shed
    That’s propped with paints
    But honestly
    It’s to pop the pain
    On a block with pen
    So I strike the pins
    To disembark the bane»
Your lines run between playful and reflective…You see yourself, clearly and choose to reveal yourself in colorful metaphors and unexpected bursts of edgy imagery. Reading your poem was a truly entertaining and unique fast-track experience.

Thank you very much for your lovely wishes, Karima…I’m humbled & honoured…you left me speechless this morning when I first read your extraordinary review of my poem…I was in pure awe…I was soaking every single word of yours into me…very gently…finally, I’m able to write…it’s simply amazing how you see me…my writings…the way you sense the essence…do you know that I’m still struggling to reply…coz instead of replying, I’m reading your words on auto-repeat…why…coz my eyes are shining & heart is smiling…did you just pull the emergency brakes of mindless brain locomotive?…haha, I’m only joking…the real translation is…thank you so very much for your magical reflection…I’m truly deeply purely touched…what an honour that you read out my poem loud…thank you for connecting with those lines 🙏✨💟💫

  3. Totally my pleasure to read you and leave this comment, Navin. I am always happily intrigued to find a poet who has their own way of expression..a style that never repeats and yet is recognizable.. I am starting to learn, you are one of those poets. Yes, your poem read out loud just took off on its own..a driving beat of a poem, rolling down a track. I love your transparency about self, and as I stated in the comment, a certain playfulness, with words and imagery…always surprising and fresh! You are a joy for me to read.. Your voice is a unique one, in a sea of so many wonderful voices.

    1. Oh Karima…my gratitude to you for such beautiful words & for liking my voice…it must be my spoken word, you mean…there’s something very special about what you write…and how you write…I know that well…I can tell that you “just” don’t read lines…you see the unseen…and connect with the beat…I’m echoing your words…”I am always happily intrigued to find a poet who has their own way of expression..a style that never repeats and yet is recognizable.. I am starting to learn, you are one of those poets.”…I could’ve written it my way…but the way you’ve written is perfect…that’s what I see in you…after all, at one level we’re reflections…thank you so very much for connecting with me…a glimpse of your being is divine…keep expressing & shining, my friend ✨🌺💫
