The demons in me (edited version)
The demons in me
are screaming and dancing
making me restless
The demons in me
are whispering and laughing
making me nervous
The demons in me
are twisting and turning
not letting me breathe
The demons in me
are nesting inside me
trying to break me in pieces
The demons in me
are simply reflections
my own interpretations
The demons in me
I recognize them now
so I let them stay
without giving attention
The demons in me
are Control, Ego and Pain-body
nobody but me can set them free
The demons in me
wish to open my Heart
so I let my Self leave
to be the very Being

A very powerful reading Navin..I felt like you were almost narrating in real time your battle with your demons inside. I felt you almost out of breath from the strength needed, but you know to deal with them,they themselves have taught you:
“The demons in me
are Control, Ego and Pain-body
nobody but me can set them free”
When we fight instead of choosing flight, we take the first step and win the first battle, I really believe. You, as I’ve said so many times, are very in touch with all parts of you, including your demons. How well you express this in your poem. I admire this self;knowledge and the spirited, formidable mindset you go to, to share with us your darkest battles, your most inner chambers. How powerful yet intimate is your spoken word version. I remember this poem well from your book. ❤️
