Spoken Word Poetry – Trip-Track (YouTube channel)

Trip-Track is a very special poem to me, that I published on 2nd November 2019. This is what I wrote back then – “Words are simply flowing in me. I feel such a crazy need to scribble this poem. I’m sensing something at subconscious level. I can feel, I’m going to walk on a burning track soon. I don’t know why I feel that. I’m perhaps connected to The Almighty, which is telling me something is coming my way. So better “pack your baggage”.”

On 7th November 2019, my left hand was kinda “sleeping”. First I dropped the car keys & then a plate & later I couldn’t press remote control buttons. I was thinking ‘ok, that’s something new’ – a weird feeling. I contacted acute medical helpline & soon I was rushed to the hospital where I was diagnosed with brain haemorrhage on the right side. It was at this moment I realized why the higher energies made me write Trip-Track & I was like WOW even though I was in OUCH condition.

The bleeding has taken away a few things from me but in return, it has given me the biggest gift, which is to live in the moment & not to worry about the next one – the future. On top, I’m finally able to see & know me. I’m not saying it’s still not challenging for me to live with the critical sickness. But it’s like I had to go through this all to finally wake up from the sleep. Now mindful baby-steps is my leap. Reset button was pressed by the Almighty.

I consider 7th November as my second birth date & that’s why I published my poetry collection – Lightning Rhymes on 07/11/2021. Trip-Track is a part of my book.

My intention isn’t to earn sympathy, that sorry / sad / bad feeling or any of that sort. It’s only a sharing from my heart to yours. I hope you’d enjoy listening to this piece of mine. Thank you very much ✨❤️💫

Inner Flow (published in Adelaide Literary Magazine)

A wonderful news I’m sharing with you all…just a few days back, I received a mail that the two poems that I submitted to Adelaide Literary Magazine have been published in their No.61 issue, October 2023…gratitude to the magazine for selecting my poems…it’s an honour indeed…I’m sharing one of the two poems…the second one, I’ll share in some time…

Inner Flow

Nothingness could be difficult
Mirror could be painful
Silence isn’t vulnerable
Sitting still isn’t idle
Healing isn’t necessarily joyful
Wisdom isn’t just jawful

Simple is so beautiful
Real isn’t just relatable
Naked is very natural
Nature is living spiritual
Light & dark are magical
Every form is love universal

Scars I don’t hide but expose
Shiny spots visible on my globe
Bleeding repainted me in two strokes
Trusting beat of the single chord
Loving flames of the burning core
Riding waves of this inner flow

The Constellation

Original poetry

Feet are glowing with burns
Eyes are flooded by surge
Mind is chasing the search
Body is facing the swirls
Unable to speak a single word
Coz path seems so crazy tough
But giving up isn’t the term
Exploring the unknown is the thirst
Walking the rough in pure trust
Lightning is the flow of the blood

Leaves are floating in the fall
The tree is standing naked & tall
Roots are gripping the ground
Universe is quietly observing it all
Sky is now having this talk
Key is the constellation in the dark
To unlock the unseen transparent port
Sun is slowly raising the bars
Pain is the seed that grows into love
Where love is the raw beat of the heart

If I could be a feeling… (a poetic collaboration by Kriti Nayyar & Navin Manik)

I’m sharing this special moment with you all…a moment in the form of this collab…a collab with this beautiful soul, that goes by the name of Kriti @kriti.nayyar…Kriti is a self-love writer & a true warrior…she’s a wonderful, a very helpful person & a dear friend on top…her writings are not only beautiful, deep & meaningful but they also are filled with her learnings & wisdom…please do visit her page on Instagram to read her poetry…Kriti would soon be joining the WordPress community…so that’s simply great…

Kriti came up with this idea of writing on ‘If I could be a feeling…’…I liked the idea instantly…she then suggested that we must write our individual parts, without sharing them with each other…I loved the idea coz it would mean, that we would express from our hearts in our own ways…at the same time, it made us curious coz we wanted to see how our parts would sound with that feeling of one piece…we didn’t swap our writings back n forth at all…so, it’s a collab of a unique kind…where there’s synchronicity & there are similarities, expressed in different styles…where there’s glimpse of our paths, seen from our sight…it’s like reaching the destination through different & yet similar paths at deeper level…so without any further ado, I’m presenting this collab…I hope you’d enjoy reading & connecting with it as much as we did creating it ✨💟💫

If I could be a feeling…

Transparency I would surely be & shine
It is what I sense instantly
When I close my big brown eyes
There’s no point in wearing an armour
And carrying a sword to slice
Wounds & scars I now wear
As the starry medals with pure pride
The ocean gyres peacefully in me
I float in it & then I simply dive
The sky exists deep within
I fall from there & roar as I freely fly
Pain & love sit quite close to each other
Is what I ve realized
Perfectly imperfect is magical
From higher perspective of this life
This feeling makes me embrace
The sharp & restless edges of mine
There’s no need to look outside
Coz the raw nature is truly inside
Selfless self-love brings me closer to me & you,
It’s love for the very I

If I could be a feeling…

What would I be?
My heart says, “Love you fool”
And I am nodding happily
But then I know
Love loses its charm without trust
So should I be trust?
Yes, that I can be but
Trust is a two way road
There is no point in being someone’s trust
And not having theirs for you!
Then what should I be?
Forgiveness may be
Ofcourse we all need and deserve it
To free ourselves and others from guilt
But again what if I forgive
And the other is not ready to forgive themselves
As it is an inside job too!
So, if I could be a feeling what would I be?
And in this very moment I know the answer
I would be kindness!
Why? Because in my life I have been unkind
And I have also tasted the thorns of unkindness
And ouch! they leave marks like none!
There were times when I wished and begged for it
But then I have also seen kindness
Heard kindness, felt kindness, lived kindness
And it made me more kind in return
There is no wound that this magic potion cannot heal
One may forget your love for them
But one always remembers
Your kind word /gesture when it was needed the most
This is one feeling that is always a one way road
It depends on you and you alone
So, if I could be anything
I would like to be kind!

To me both darkness & light are like yin & yang; powerful in their own ways. Darkness has normally been seen as something negative. But in reality, it has its own intense light if one sees it with an open heart. Light & dark are zen-masters of unique kinds.

The Sign

Original poetry

After a long time, I’ve written a new poem…coz the major part of my day goes by in recovering from the knee surgery…it takes most of my energy & then I’m not able to do a lot…I know, it’s getting a bit boring to hear about it every single time…but the thing is, I’m sharing something deeper & something very simple…these moments are teaching me to appreciate small & simple things…the importance of self-love…to look into your own eyes with love…to love your different sides…to have compassion…to give space…and to take things as they come…the very Creation has helped me quite a lot in not only understanding this but also to sense it with my open heart…to live in the moment is simple & difficult at the same time…it’s very much possible though…lastly, I’m still not able to check your posts regularly at my full capacity…I’m doing it whenever I get the chance…my gratitude to you for the lovely messages / wishes & for your understanding of me being partially active over here 🌟✨❤️💫🙏

Silently I talk to the quiet violet in me
While the violent in me is vibrating the violin strings
The sound of this high-pitched music that I stream
Is the melody of pain & restlessness that I bleed
No visor over my ears to silence the sound intensity
As the wise in me is observing myself calmly with peace
The eyes of this tree are sighing with fall of the leaves
The sign of this piece is shining even when I drop like tears
But I won’t ever hide my raw skin or the formless spirit
No shield I’m wearing, I’m simply standing right here

Dear all,

As most of you already know that I’m recovering from a knee surgery & that’s why I haven’t been checking your posts as often as I normally do…so please bear with me if I haven’t read your writing, sharing or any other form of art…and it’ll take some more time coz I’m still resting & recovering…there’s some good progress though…I’m able to ‘walk’ with one crutch now…didn’t know the metal clips that are stapled to join the skin would pain so much…but M&M is helping me a lot…Morphine & Mindfulness 😵‍💫

I would also like to thank you all for your kind, lovely & heart warming messages / wishes…they mean a lot to me 🙏✨💟💫

We come & we go
We’ve been tamed & we’ve been told
The achievements & the goals
The professions & the posts
The acts & the roles
The status & the ego
The competition & the course
The character’s worth in 24 carat gold
One to ten is the scale we tip-toe
The label filled world is the norm
Where freedom means to control

If you listen & obey, then you’re lovely & so cool
The slippery layer of soap on your whole
If you listen & oppose, then no manners & too bold
The wounded surface is sored with some salt
The grainy film of judgment is projected in slo-mo
The fashion to wear mirrored goggles of G chrome
Where pretenders presenting the copied as their own
Pasting different quotes from dusk to dawn
Without absorbing the meaning to the core
AI is generating paintings & poems as original
And humans are acting as cultured robots

Aren’t we forgetting something in this all?
Where is the heart that’s filled with self-love?
Where is the spiritual energy & its glow?
Where is the fluidity & its flow?
Where is the present in the now?
Where is the real in its naked & raw form?
Where is the beat of the beautiful song?
Where is the dream & the hope?
Where is the courage to meet the unknown?
Where is the fire that fuels the soul?
Unlock the doors with universal key of love so pure

I’m still recovering from my knee surgery…The cocktail of painkillers is quite heavy & those 40 clips on my knee give the form of a centipede…Quite cool, isn’t it?…Therefore, you don’t see me here quite often these days…But I’ll be back…However, I’ve made a plate of spoken word…I’ve garnished it with fresh herbs…I hope you’d enjoy it…Thank you…Much love 🌟✨💟💫

To me both darkness & light are not only very powerful but they also are the purest forms. Darkness is not negative as it has normally been perceived. Light as well as darkness are heart-openers & unique zen-masters.
