Questioning

Is everything changing?
Tweaking
Is the mind chattering?
Freaking
Is the body shattering?
Exploding
Is the rhyme flowing?
Phrasing
Is the rhythm beating?
Creeping
Is the ink bleeding?
Deadly
Is the colour red beets?
Dead beats
Is that beast feasting?
The Red Feast
Is the heartbeat racing?
Panicking
Is the air slowly fading?
Fainting
Is the screen getting blurry?
Sweating
Am I simply afraid?
Suffocating
Has the time stopped moving?
Lonely
Have I started reaching places?
Phases
Am I going crazy?
Frenzy
Do you get what’s happening?
Suffering
Can you sense the feeling?
Burning
Are you here to catch me?
Destiny
Are you one of those preachers?
Creatures
Do you come from the shadows?
Light
Is this all a part of me?

A poem about Love

On 4th November Josie @josima7772 from Instagram shared a post, where she wrote 4 lovely lines about love & tagged her silver sisters…she didn’t tag me directly coz…well, I ain’t no sista 😉😂…I’m a platinum card holder though…by that I mean, I’ve platinum long hair…she tagged me in her story to ask if I would write a few lines about love…the moment I went through her story & then the post, I wrote these lines instantly…whatever showed up on my inner screen in that moment…I wrote this poem as a comment on Josie’s post…sharing it with you…you are also welcome to read the original post by clicking here

We dream love
We bleed love
We breathe love
But still it seems so
We miss love
We seek love
Not everyone is being loved
Coz we forget in the thick rush
That love has always been within us

The Number Game

Disclaimer:

Please read this poem under the lighter shade
I’ve added a bit of ginger to give it a slightly warmer taste
Not pointing fingers at any particular person(s) at any stage
Believe me even if I want to, I just really can’t
Coz I don’t remember their handles or any names
Coz they haven’t made any kinda impact on me in any way
And I know every published anthology isn’t of quality bad
I’m sharing some of my experiences in this crowded space
You must’ve also experienced such scenarios on Instagram & a few on WordPress

– Follow for follow?
You see I didn’t even know what “follow for follow” meant
Why would I follow you if you followed me?
Why should you follow me if I followed you?
Do you like my writings?
If not, then what’s the point?
Is it for the sake of 1 extra point in your stats?

– I liked yours, now please read & like mine
Excuse me, what do you mean?
Hey, I am not mean
But I didn’t force you to read & like my lines
Let me draw a simple line
I would hit like if I like what you write
I would suggest you to do the same, alright?

– Read 10 pieces within 7 seconds & liked all of them
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Click Click Next Next
Supersonic reading speed, right?
Attention do you seek?
Is this some “trend” that you want to be seen?
Perhaps, it’s just me but sometimes I don’t get such scenes

– Followed for a few days & then unfollowed
So your goal is to show the huge following you have
And to pretend they follow you & you don’t follow them
What’s the benefit?
By faking your worth in this real world
Are you in some number game?

– Are you interested in one of these dedicated groups – only like / like & comment?
Huh?
What?
Come again?
I don’t understand
But we don’t even know each other
Are these “oh yeah, don’t stop, don’t stop, oh yeah, don’t stop, oh yeahhhh” groups of another kind?
By that I mean ego boosters

– Promote it on @xyz” & “DM@xyz
Seriously?
Damn…spam…oh man…again (not singing Wham’s song)

– We are giving you this opportunity to be a published author. Grab the chance to be a part of our anthology. Here are some other benefits. Our fee is… Interested?
How wonderful, I’m the chosen one
Right? Wrong!
Ok, but let me give a try to simply try something different
I have now understood the benefits of such projects
The compiler’s name would be on the cover
The compiler might change a few bits of writings without asking or informing the writer
The publication house would print the manuscript filled with typos, misalignment, bad quality images etc.
The quality of the book would be questionable
This book would never hit the international market
The publisher has hired an inexperienced team
Perhaps earning quick money was the real theme

I Scribble

Original poetry

When I pick up my pencil
To prick on my surface
Then I bleed real lyrics
That I scribble on the ocean

The ripples I then make
When I hit the epicenter
Is not to trick the senses
But to share my inner vision

The reflection of my face
That bounces on wavy water
Shows me a clear picture
Of the deeper connection

The flare of my phases
Isn’t just burst of emotions
It’s the zen of those learnings
That lits my life with passion

Kiss – a poem

Original poetry

I’m sitting on my bed
But I’m not here
I’m listening to the music
But there’s pure silence
My eyes are wide open
But they are dreaming
They are looking out the window
But I’m seeing through the senses
Evening blue sky is the scene
But it’s the stars that I’m gazing
They’re burning & blinking
But slow motion is the speed

A beautiful face appears on my screen
The big eyes are scintillating
The silky hair flowing freely
The spirit is conditioning the deep
The open heart is melting me
The soft lips are whispering
I’m listening to those beats
She’s standing so close to me
My hands are cupping her cheeks
While I’m kissing her beautiful lips
Everything disappears instantly
I’m loving this pure purple energy

The Moment (a poem):

So here I am once again to share with you my joy
The moment I watched this reel, I was like “Oh my”
The moment I listened to this dreamy & peaceful voice
The moment I eyed these wonderfully written lines
It was a heart touching moment & truly a great surprise

The moment of bliss where my heart did purely smile
